About the Authentic Word Ministries International

The AWM is a christian ministry that was launched by Apostle Dr. Paul GITWAZA in 1996 from Kigali, Rwanda. Since then, the ministry has opened doors in several countries around the globe including Belgium, Burundi, Canada, China, Congo, Denmark, France, Haiti, Tanzania, UK and USA.

Vision

The ministry's vision is to "Prepare the Bride of Christ to meet her Bridegroom!" (Amos 4:12). We labor to awaken people's hearts to know their identiy in God and to live a life worthy of their calling.

Mission

• To preach the authentic word of God based on the truth revealed in the Holy Scriptures.
• To equip and empower believers spiritually, economically, socially, and several other arenas of life.
• To raise an army of intercessors to contend for the manifestation of God's Kingdom on earth.
• To promote a Spirit of revival (repentance, fasting and prayer…)
• To reactivate the different gifts and ministries that God has imparted to the Church

History

In 1992, in the city of Kisangani, Congo, God gave a revelation to a group of college students who were having daily prayer meetings, interceding for the world and for the Church in general. The revelation was about God's intention to raise an army of "end times warriors" around the world, to prepare the arrival of the King of Kings - the Lord Jesus Christ. A fellow student now a man of God by the name of Paul Gitwaza led this group of students. God's vision for this ministry was an end time revival movement that will reach every corner of the world, through a mighty army of servants both fully committed and equipped to fight and win the battle for the Lord. The army would be made of people devoted to the Lord, uncompromising in their love for the Lord, despite suffering and persecution that they would face. In 1995, three years after the vision was given, God gave the go ahead for the ministry to start, and revealed both the name and the location where the ministry will be headquartered.

The Authentic Word Ministries International officially started in 1996, in humble and difficult conditions. It was not easy to come to Rwanda because of the many problems the country had just encountered including the genocide. In 1999, the first Church was planted by the Authentic Word Ministries International in the city of Kigali Rwanda. Since then other churches have been planted in other countries. These churches are known as "Zion Temple Celebration Centres.” In August 2003, as God had promised to His servant, the Authentic Word Ministry raised God's banner in Kigali city to proclaim the now Rwanda has publicly entered in revival and that the country becomes the mountain of the Lord.

Ministry Branches

• Zion Temple Celebration Centers (ZTCC): These are non denominational revival centers planted in several strategic locations around the world. We contend to make these God's resting places, places where there is perpetual worship and praise, prayer and intercession, deliverence, teaching, preaching and other spiritual epmowerment activities.

• Women Arise Network: The main objective of Women Arise Network is to support in prayers different countries suffering from war and other form of discrimination and to work together for the promotion of the christian women. Deborah Company and Daughters of Zion are other organizations we have launched for the purpose of empowering women.

• Samaritan's Heart: This is a Christian NGO that has for mission to assist the poor and the needy to live a decent life. The NGO is still in the process of establishment.
