About Us
The AWM is a Christian ministry that started in 1996 in Kigali , the capital city of Rwanda, with a vision God gave in 1992 for an end time revival movement that will reach every corner of the world, to "Prepare the Bride of Christ for His imminent return." (Amos 4:12)
In August 1999, under the leadership of Apostle Paul Gitwaza, the ministry opened the doors of its first Zion Temple Celebration Center in Kigali, Rwanda. Six years later, Zion Temple Church has grown to be the largest church in Rwanda with a membership of 15000. The ministry has also expanded to other parts of the world, and is now present on three continents: Africa (Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, Tanzania), Europe (Belgium, Denmark, France, UK) and America (USA).
Zion Temple Celebration Center is the spiritual arm of the Authentic Word Ministries with a Vision to become a resting place for God (Psa 132:13-14)
“Zion Temple, God’s dwelling place”
Our Mission:
Connect the Person with God and his or her Destiny.
Our Vision for Revival is structured around a three-fold strategy:

Asaph in concert
By Grace Umuhire, ZTCC - Brussels, Belgium.
On May 19th, was held the Concert of the Choir Asaph. They were all there, fully dressed in white. In fact, since February 2007, worship leader Nana Lukezo and her husband have been training the Choir to improve its musical skills. Moreover, the elder Marius has been weekly teaching some of them to play the guitar and the piano. We were able to see the fruits of that labor through the various performances such as the interpretations of «Oh Happy Day » and « Amazing Grace ». And the leadership of AWM stated that Asaph has entered into an international dimension of ministry. Musicians from other Churches came to give us a hand: Lemmy on the keyboard, Christian at the drums and the team accompanying Nana.
Several artists have presented songs as solo singing or accompanied by Asaph: Antoine, Lemmy, the elder Marius and of course the Apostle Gitwaza. Nana Lukezo has also introduced her new album “Le chant de mon Coeur”, after leading us into dancing in spite of her 8 months pregnancy. “Nothing can prevent me from praising the Lord” she declared. We were able to admire the new team of Angels Ministry. It is always a great pleasure to watch them dancing on the rhythm of songs in several languages (Kinyarwanda, Swahili, Lingala, Zulu…) and dressed in the Rwandese traditional outfit. Poets too, in their own way, spoke about the author of life Jesus Christ: the elders Félicité and Marius.
A room was also made for children: 3-year-old Calista told us about her Good Shepherd using Psalm 23. This is even more impressive to know that this is not the only portion of the Scriptures that she can quote word by word. And how many of us grown up can at least, say a single verse? You may say that this is obviously normal as Calista’s parents are both elders at our Church (Félicité and Johnson Musafiri). Would not that rather be a reminder to parents and educators to raise the younger ones in the Word of God? Deuteronomy 6:6-9, Proverbs 22:6. Often, we think that kids have no understanding of the things of God, that they are just good for Sunday school. And yet, they have their share in the ministry Mark10: 13-16. “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit, on people. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy…”Acts 2:17. “From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger” Psalm8:2.
From the story in Acts 16:16-34, Apostle Gitwaza told us how right it was to praise the Lord in every situation, even when facing hardship. Paul and Silas did so and this led to the salvation of the jailer and his family. Then, he shortly presented the vision of the conference « Africa raises Europe ». During one of his trips, he felt that he should visit the families of those who spread the Gospel in Congo. So he went to see them in Sweden. But he was shocked to see that these children and grand children were like foreigners to the faith of their fathers, a faith that has revolutionized the peoples of Africa. This personally hit him: something needed to be done to rekindle the faith of these generations. That is how these yearly conferences started. The one of this year is scheduled for the 4th week of Augustus.
Someone who has come to our assembly for the first time made the following comment: « It was really great. I liked the diversity of the concert: modern music and traditional dance. »
ZTCC – Atlanta: Authentic Word Ministries Fourth US Annual Revival Conference: God's Vision is Our Destiny IV
By Marcellin Mutuyimana.
The conference was spectacular! During more than six months of preparing and interceding for this conference we prayed relentlessly for Holy Spirit revival, salvation of souls and divine encounter with the Living God. We praise and thank God for having done far and beyond what we could have imagined. It was presided over by Apostle Paul Gitwaza.
The conference was launched with praise and worship lead by
Krystaal, an extraordinarily talented and anointed praise and worship team ( www.krystaal.com). As they lead us through praise and worship, the presence of God heavily fell on us and every heart melted with joy and awe of the Lord. During this opening session, Pastor Francois Bayingana, the conference moderator, revealed to us that God was going to do something new in our heart, according to Isaiah 43:19. Right afterward, Pastor Leonard Uwiringiyimana, pastor of Zion-Temple Atlanta and US representative of Authentic Word Ministries introduced guests who had arrived from Africa, Europe, Canada and other various parts of the United States. The most notable of the guests were the speakers: Bishop Bienvenu representing the ministry on the European continent, Bishop Trice Shumbusho who will be overseeing the ministry in Asia
and Pastor Mukwiza, the overseer of several churches in the UK.
The Apostle Paul Gitwaza officially opened the conference, emphasizing that every heart needed to be ready to receive what God was going to pour out during the three-day conference. He reiterated that we must abide in God's vision for us, in all its magnitude and greatness. He urged us to fully realign and shift ourselves to be in tune with the divine move of God so that we may be able to walk into our glorious destiny that God prepared for us before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4).
Pastor Mukwiza delivered a powerful message, stressing that God is willing and able to deliver us and cleanse us from both obvious and secrets faults as long as we come to Him with a repentant attitude, exposing before Him our sins or secret issues, rather than concealing them. Bishop Bienvenu taught the congregation on the righteousness of God that requires us to be in the proper and right position before we can truly minister His Word to others. He led the congregation in a reconciliatory session between Africans and African Americans, thus prophetically bridging the gap of separation that had existed from generation to generation between these two communities. Bishop Shumbusho brought to the people a revelation of God as our Bridegroom King. She exhorted us to relate to our God not only as our Lord, King, Father, Judge, etc… but also as our Husband filled with fiery and ravishing love for the Church, which is the Bride.
At the concluding session of the conference, Apostle Paul Gitwaza taught us that God was going to remove all former things from our lives and do something new. He also taught us that the prerequisite for acquiring the new thing from God was to receive the renewing of our minds, forgetting past hurts and letting the past go in order to be freed and move toward new heights in our journey with the Lord. He prayed for everyone and laid hands on each person for the impartation of the newness in our Christian walk. Many people got saved and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in their lives. Others renewed their vows and commitment to the Lord. |
