About Us
The AWM is a Christian ministry that started in 1996 in Kigali , the capital city of Rwanda, with a vision God gave in 1992 for an end time revival movement that will reach every corner of the world, to "Prepare the Bride of Christ for His imminent return." (Amos 4:12)
In August 1999, under the leadership of Apostle Paul Gitwaza, the ministry opened the doors of its first Zion Temple Celebration Center in Kigali, Rwanda. Six years later, Zion Temple Church has grown to be the largest church in Rwanda with a membership of 15000. The ministry has also expanded to other parts of the world, and is now present on three continents: Africa (Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, Tanzania), Europe (Belgium, Denmark, France, UK) and America (USA).

ZTCC – Kigali, Rwanda: Apostle Paul Gitwaza delivers a teaching on Deliverance from CONDEMNATION, By Mbaga Nzabakurana, February 12, 2007
1. Scripture reading: John 8:3-11, Romans 8: 1
2. Introduction: Every person wants to feel good, happy , affirmed and so on…No one can not feel better when is humiliated, embarrassed, used, neglected, frustrated and etc…though these painful emotions no one wants to experience theme, some of theme are natural part of the life. But there is one heart-wrenching, spiritual –debilitating emotion that God never wants us to experience and one that we should never accept as just a “part of life”: Condemnation.
3. Definitions, Synonyms, Related Words and Contrasted words:
-Definition: Condemn is to pronounce or to judge as unfit. To declare to be wrong. To convict of guilt
-Synonyms: Denounce, censure, blame, criticize, reprehend. In condemnation we see: Shame, embarrassment, humiliation, scorn, etc.
-Related Word: Belittle, decry, depreciate, disparage; deprecate, disapprove.
-Contrasted Words: Applaud, commend, compliment; acclaim, eulogize, extol, laud, praise; condone, excuse, forgive, pardon.
4. Difference between condemnation and conviction:
- True conviction is good for us, because it leads us to repentance
- Thoughts and feelings of condemnation are unhealthy and lead us to painful emotions.
-Condemnation is general in nature: You’re a liar
-Conviction is always specific: What you said in the house today was a liar
-Condemnation attacks who we are- Our identity: You’ll never change. You’re worthless.
-Conviction addresses specific acts that we have done: You were late today. You were insensitive to your teacher. You neglected your daughter.
NB: - When feeling condemned, we should reject the liar and embrace the truth
- When feeling convicted, we should confess.
5. Origins and sources of condemnation: People, Satan and Our self
a. People: Others people can minister condemnation to us by confessing hurtful lies
Criticism: -You’ll never amount to anything;
Comparison: Why can’t you do anything right like X?
Curses: You’ll never fulfill your promises! You shall never go higher as long as I live, etc.
b. Satan: Satan, the accuser of the brethren, ministers the condemnation (Rev 12:10)
Lies: - God is getting tired of forgiving you the same sin everyday. Just admit that you are a failure!
Guilt-conscious: -Your promises shall not be fulfilled because you’ve done something wrong.
-You’re having this disease because it is your fault and you will die soon because God can not heal you.
-You’re having problem in this area because there is something really wrong with you!
Accusation: Don’t even pray because your sin was not forgiven and forgotten
c. Our self: Self-talk and misinterpretation can also get us into trouble.
-Feeling of being neglected: - He postponed his appointment may be, because he met my roommate who criticizes me every time. - He probably didn’t answer my phone because I am not worthy before him.
No one wants to spend time with me because I am not so important. - My life became worthless because I was abused in my childhood.
-Feeling of lack of attention and affection: I am not lovable. My opinion is of no value. It must be my fault that I’m hurting; I deserve the pain.
-If we were verbally, physically and sexually abused: Victims of abuse often think that they are responsible for the abuse and that they deserve it.
They talk to themselves: I probably deserve this kind of abuse I’m receiving. I must be a bad person. Because of who I am, I attracted the sexual abuse. I am culprit.
A child may think, no one knows me better than my parents. If the y say I am bad person, it must be true.
If they abuse me, I must deserve it.
-Feeling of rejection: Our background and origin can some times bring a self condemnation:
May be he refused to help my son because he doesn’t like me or my tribe or my ethnic or my nation.
6. Freedom from condemnation:
a. Identify the areas in which you suffer from condemnation
b. Identify the sources of the condemnation
c. Identify the lie behind the condemnation
d. Embrace the truth
e. Distinguish between who we are (created in God’s image and are objects of his love) and what we do in our fallen nature (we are sinner by nature and choice). Even though God can not tolerate our sins but he can tolerate sinners and he loves them. Rom 5:8.
7. Conclusion:
During World War II, Lieutenant General Jonathan Mayhew Wainwright was commander of Allied Forces in the Philippines. On May 6, 1942, following a heroic resistance of enemy forces, he was forced to surrender Corregidor and the survivors of the Philippine Campaign. For 3 years he suffered as a prisoner of War in a Manchurian Camp. During his interment, he endured the incessant cruelties of malnutrition, physical and verbal abuse, and psychology mind games. Through it all, he maintained his dignity as a human being and soldier.
But after the war ended, his captors continued to keep Him and the other prisoners incarcerated. The war was over, but the bondage continued. One day an Allied plane landed in a field near the prison. Though the fence that surrounded the compound, an airman informed General Wainwright of the enemy’s surrender and the American Victory. ´
Wainwright immediately pulled his emaciated body to attention, turned and marched toward the commend house, burst through the door, marched up to the camp’s commanding officer and said, “My commander-in-chief has conquered your commander-in-chief. I am now in of this camp”. In response to Wainwright’s declaration, the officer removed his sword. Laid it on the table, and surrender his command.
Brethren, the good news is: Our commander-in-Chief, Jesus Christ has conquered our enemies, so don’t continue to live under the debilitating bondage of condemnation, but let us appropriate the victory and freedom that have already been provided.

ZTCC – Brussels completes Seven Weeks of Immersion full of Hope and Commitment, By Grace Umuhire, February 25, 2007
5th Sunday of Immersion
Centuries ago, King David said: “I rejoiced with those who said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord’”. Indeed, getting into the sanctuary on this 5th Sunday of immersion, was another great rejoicing. Apostle Raymond Vandeput, from “A-Net”(the Antioch Network is a network of charismatic churches, in Brussels), taught us about the need to be filled by the Holy Spirit. He shortly shared with us his testimony, how he came to the Lord and how his life has been changed after the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
The body of Christ looks so fragile. And yet, God is the Almighty, awesome in power. Time has come for us as a Church , to take a firm stand upon the Word of God and to get hold of the promise of the Holy Ghost. The coming of the Anoited One has ushered us into the age of the Spirit John 7:38-39. We can only be efficient in the Lord’s Kingdom if we are filled by His Spirit. Aplostle Raymond took us back in the Old Testament to show us how the promise of the Holy Spirit was not only meant for the nation of Israel but also for the Church and shall impart every human being Ezekiel 36:26-27, Isaiah 59:21, Joel 2:28-29). Howerver, we must earnestly desire that communion with the person of the Holy Ghost, to let Him lead us in our daily words and actions. Then, we shall be a strong efficient Church, which is united by one mind and one heart.
We were blessed to have in our midst, Mrs Angelique Gitwaza, the wife of our Apostle, and their children, who arrived safely in Brussels on 31th Jan. She brought us greetings from Kigali and a special word for our congregation. Psalm 125:1-2. The elder Musafiriri Johnson came back from 3 weeks of teaching and blessing with our brethren in Danemark. Finally, Gilbert M.Bekos and his wife Florence, from “Assemblée des Rachetés”(another congregation of brethren in Brussels), were with us on Sunday to present their new album “Psaume 27”. They sang two songs from this nice compact disk.
6th Sunday of immersion
During their journey through the wilderness, there was a special grace upon the 6th day. From the 1st to the 5th of the week, the children of Israel would go out to gather the portion of manna that they needed for that one day. But on the 6th day, they would find a double portion because the following day was a day of rest, a holy Sabbath to the Lord. Exodus 16: 1-26. So has God provides a special blessing for us on this 6th Sunday of immersion.
The Lord delights in giving good things to His children. And those good things are all in the Holy Spirit, as Luke 11:13 tells us. While crossing the wilderness, the Israelites were accompanied by the pillar of cloud during the day and the pillar of fire during the night (Exodus13: 21-22). This is a picture of the Holy Spirit, Who is with us in order to lead us, to protect us and to transform us (John14:26, John 16:7-15). His manifestation takes different aspects according to the circumstances.
This is well diplayed by the Scripture in Exodus14: 19-31. The pillar of cloud that was preceding the Israelites, moved between their camp and the Egyptians so that they were in the daylight (a picture of the light of righteousness, the the lighting of the Spirit, of grace) and the Egytians in darkness (lack of understanding of the spiritual truths and the tresures). Then, the Lord parted the Red Sea to make a way out for His people. At the same time, by fighting for them, He showed His glory to the Egyptians. In the same way, God provocks such situations in our life to reveal His glory.
Once again, we were with worship leader Nana Lukezo (a note of apology to our readers for the spelling mistake in the previous article). Mrs Angélique Gitwaza is still with us for some time. However, Apostle Gitwaze is held in Rwanda by an important matter and won’t be able to join us this coming week as announced. During this 7th and last week of immersion, we will resume with our regular program of weekly meetings.
7th Sunday of immersion
God has created everything by the power of His Word. He has established the Church on strong foundations so that the gates of hell (a picture of all the words coming from the power of evil) won’t prevail against it. Matthew16:18.
The European society has been built upon values from the Word of God. However, slowly, people chose to reject their Maker. For instance, the European constitution has no mention of God anywhere, promoting a non-religious society. We are assisting to a manifestation of Romans1: 18-32. This society is suffering from many problems: rise of divorce, suicide, juvenile violence and terrorism, etc. Many people are victims of such a system. Yet, the Lord wants to send healing and deliverance. This cure is coming as a conviction that will wake up people and give them the strength to refuse this wrong thinking.
Thanks to the Blood of Jesus, we are redeemed from the empty way of living that we received from our fathers (ancestors, family, society) 1Peter1:18. It is up to us to to try the foundations of our values, to see if they are really founded upon the Word of God and to let God renew our understanding (Romans12:2). The person that others see in us is he/she really the one the Lord made in His image or it is a covering clamped by the society? Pharaoh has made of the first-borns of God, the heirs of the Most High, slaves. But the Lord has set them free. Naaman too, because of his leprosy, may have been compeled to always wear clothing that were hinding his true look and beauty. After 7 immersions in the Jordan River, he was healed and people could see him as he really was. So were we today, on this 7th Sunday of immersion, to check ourselves and to realise our need to get rid of that covering to let appear that new creature in Christ.
We had a time of prayer while the Holy Spirit was at work in the lives of many, a time of commitment for a new start in Christ symbolized by a double portion at the Table of the Lord. We also took the time to offer our thanksgivings and praise to the Lord with Asaph (our choir) and Angle ministry (our dancers) as well as to listen to testimonies of some of the miracles the Lord did during these 7 weeks.
Now, we are starting a 4-week period of rest and preparation for the next round: 40days of prayer and fasting to get ready for the coming conferences and to let the Lord Jesus usher us in the international dimension of the ministry in Europe.

Apostle Paul Gitwaza new CD available online at www.gitwaza.com
Apostle Paul Gitwaza released his new CD album “Imirimo Yawe” during his trip in the USA. The album contains 10 songs and each song has its deep meaning. Each song has the potential to lift up the listener to a higher level of glory. Many people know Paul Gitwaza as an Apostle and a Preacher, but not as a Worshipper. This new CD proves that there is no contradiction between the two.
According to him, a true Apostle must be a true Worshipper. To the listen to this CD, he gives this advice: “As you listen, I beseech you, calm down and let your mind settle at the foot of His Cross. Only in few minutes, your eyes will be open to new levels of glory, and you will enjoy and experience anew the love of Jesus Christ toward you!
To promote this CD, a new website is now operational. Currently, you can use it to buy Paul Gitwaza Music, Preaching and Teaching online, to get the songs lyrics for free, and to learn more about his worship career.
We will continue to develop it to include products and services afforded by the full spectrum of his prolific ministry!
